The Major Currency Pairs in FOREX Trading

Foreign exchange (FOREX) trading is the simultaneous buying of one currency and selling of another simultaneously. FOREX trading is always done in pairs since one nation's currency is traded for another. Currencies are traded through a broker or dealer and are executed in currency pairs. The major currency pairs are traded against the US Dollar (USD).

The Major Currency pairs are as follows:

The Euro Dollar (EUR/USD)
The British Pound (GBP/USD)
The Japanese Yen (USD/JPY)
The Swiss Franc (USD/CHF)
The Canadian Dollar (USD/CAD)
The Australian Dollar (AUD/USD)

All other currencies are called minors.
